ONLINE MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

SATA welcomes you to join our prestigious association. SATA is the only trade association in the United States actively promoting South & Central America. Joining SATA will help you to increase your awareness, sales and more importantly your profits.

MEMBERSHIP DUES (see Benefits of Membership below)

FULL MEMBER: Applies to Airlines, Expedition Cruises, Hotels, Tour Operators, Tourist Boards. Annual Membership Fee (valid Jan-Dec) - $300

ASSOCIATE MEMBER: Applies to Travel Media Publishing Companies, Public Relations Companies, Passport/Visa Service Agencies. Annual Membership Fee (valid Jan-Dec) - $100

Membership fee is for 1 representative from your company (Primary Representative).Each additional representative (Secondary Representatives) is $25 each. A maximum of 3 additional representatives may be added as Secondary Representatives to your membership application.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

In order to serve in the best of interests to USA based travel agents, SATA requires members comply with the following, to be eligible for membership:

Tour Operators: Must be USA based with a physical office location. and active website The business must be incorporated in the USA and must comply with any state "Sellers of Travel" regulation.  Receptive Tour operators / Destination Management Companies / Online or Virtual Travel Agencies based outside of USA are not eligible for membership, even if they have a USA telephone contact.

Airlines / Expedition Cruise Operators / Hotels: Sales, Marketing or Reservation Office must have a representative that is USA based at a physical office location.

Tourist Boards: Can be located in their home country but must promote and bring awareness to their respective country. Tourist Boards are not permitted to promote any specific travel supplier based  overseas.

Associate Members: Must be USA based.

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO BOARD OF DIRECTOR'S AND MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE REVIEW

INVITATION TO TRADE SHOWS/PRESENTATION PROGRAMS

SATA’s very successful series of nationwide educational dinner programs feature new sales tools, destination and product presentations, door prizes, and networking potential that will open the door to more profits. Our tradeshows provide interaction between quality USA based travel agents and diversified South & Central American suppliers.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
SATA offers it's supplier members the opportunity to be a sponsoring presenter at our trade show/presentation programs. As a sponsoring presenter, the supplier is able to effectively and affordably market their company and product awareness. A sponsor’s presentation would convey strengths and benefits and give the USA based travel agents the necessary selling tools to further promote the sponsors product. MEMBER OFFERS & SPECIALS, DISTRIBUTION OF PRESS RELEASES
Supplier member's are encouraged to provide SATA with their travel specials and offers which will be published on this website at our dedicated page. In addition, members may distribute up o 3 press releases in a year exclusively to our travel agent members, Press releases should be sent to sata@sata-usa.com

REDUCED RATE PARTICIPATION AT NATIONAL TRADE SHOWS AND VIRTUAL SHOWS
SATA regularly participates with a dedicated SATA PAVILION at national trade shows and virtual shows. Members have the opportunity to join SATA in the pavilion at a deeply discounted rate.

DATABASE OF TRAVEL AGENTS PROMOTING SOUTH & CENTRAL AMERICA
Following each event, suppliers who participate in our trade events receive an updated and organized database of registered travel agents. The database is in Microsoft Excel format. This allows the supplier to follow up and enhance their marketing.

LISTING IN THE MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY AT SATA-USA.COM

EDUCATIONAL FAMILIARIZATION TRIPS
With the collaboration of tourist boards and airlines, SATA  organizes fam trips allowing supplier members to send their employees to on an educational trips learning first hand about the destination. On average, SATA organizes 2 - 3 trips in a year. To view previous fam trip reports, click here.
